Sara De Vuyst

Sara De Vuyst holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences, specializing in Journalism, from Ghent University. In November 2016, she successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled “Hacking gender in journalism. A multi-method study on gender issues in the rapidly changing and digitalised field of news production”. Her thesis explores the gender dimensions of recent transitions and technological advances in the journalistic landscape. Sara is currently working as a researcher at the Center for Journalism Studies. She is passionate about feminist research and genuinely interested in digital storytelling, data journalism and other innovative forms of journalism.
